Why we exist
Shaped by professional experience, and by our own.
Custoris Care was founded by Cheta and Esther. For more than a decade, Cheta has worked across children’s and adult social care, including as a Registered Manager. He has led services through several CQC inspections and helped improve services that needed to do better.
Esther brings more than a decade of experience across children’s nursing and education.
Our understanding of care is also personal. As parents, Cheta and Esther know what it means to search for the right support for someone you love, and what happens to family life when that support is hard to find.
That experience shapes how we work. It does not mean we know what every family is going through. It means we take the time to understand yours.
Our name
Custoris
Inspired by the Latin tradition of the guardian
The Custoris name draws on the Latin tradition of the guardian: someone who protects, watches over and keeps safe.
In care, a guardian stands beside people, not above them or in their place. The role is not to take away anyone’s independence, but to help protect their ability to live with dignity, choice and confidence, and to make sure they feel heard when support matters most.
In practice that looks like a familiar face at the door at the time you expected. It looks like being asked, rather than told. It looks like a plan that makes room for the things you still want to do, and support that helps you do them.
Our service is for everyone, whatever their background, beliefs or circumstances.

What we believe
Care is a relationship before it is a service.
The quality of someone’s support depends on the people who provide it: how well they know the person, how much time they are given, how well they are trained and how they are treated themselves.
So we invest in those things. We keep teams small and consistent. We give staff the learning and supervision to do the job well. And we measure ourselves by what the people we support and their families tell us, as well as by what regulators expect.
